ASAP was formed in 2004 when Manchester House Social Services purchased an existing small after school programme. Manchester House held a concern that there were children in the community returning home from school and having no supervision due to parents having to work and not many choices for these families.

Since our small beginnings of about 12 children in the afternoon and no morning programme, we now have approximately 150 families on our role. Our bookings for the afternoon programme run into the 90's and 50's for the morning programme. Our holiday programmes will accomodate up to 50 children.

We are OSCAR registered. This means that if families meet Ministry of Social Development criteria, they may receive a subsidy for attending our programme. We have attached a link to our Programme Pages so you can see if you qualify of not.

ASAP staff love our jobs. We all have practical "hands on" experience and treat the children in our care as family. Most of us have had years of experience in different child related fields of employment and volunteering as well as raising our own families.

We encourage any families considering ASAP as their After/Before or Holiday Care facilitators to come to our Centre during Programme hours to have a look at what we have to offer and to meet our team.
